Wow. This video was insane!! Some people's views on the Internet and how it runs our lives. The 3 video(named Self Expression, Trying On New Identities) of the overall documentary caught my attention the most. I think it caught my interest because of how everyone - in our class and in the video - reacted to Jess "Autumn" Hunter's pictures. Okay, yes, I understand that she was posting half-naked pictures of herself on the Internet. Yes, I see how some people would she them and label her as a slut. A slut is defined as a woman with the morals of a man(http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=slut, December 30, 2009). Not as a young woman who likes to escape reality by posting photos, where she is wearing skimpy lingerie. No big deal. I think that if "Autumn Edows" is comfortable doing such things and it makes her happy she should go right ahead and do so. I also think that some people are being silly when they complain that they don't want to see it. If you don't want to look at it, close the page!
In the video it also mentions that Jess' Principal was the one to call the parents and spill the beans. I think that that was crossing a line. He had no business doing that. If the pictures were being taken at school or passed around or posted on boards, I'd understand. But it was a myspace page, the pictures be inaccessible(yet only as inaccessible as anything on the Internet!) to non-members of her page. He was a bit of a jerk.
So basically, she wasn't hurting anyone or herself. Therefore I see no problem with her posting such things.
